After the synthesis gas compressor 103-J trips, if the MIC-1180 interlock is activated, the quick-opening valve MIC-1180 will open fully immediately before being closed to 50%. This will cause the pressure in the medium-pressure steam network to rise significantly; it is necessary to contact Furnace No. 4 promptly to release steam and reduce the amount of medium-pressure steam emitted. At the same time, MIC-1180 should be closed again in a timely manner. During the process of closing MIC-1180, if the pressure of the medium-pressure steam is low, PCV-13 should be opened accordingly to maintain stable pressure in the medium-pressure steam pipeline network, ensure that the pressure in the steam drum does not exceed safe levels, prevent the high-pressure steam superheating coils from overheating, and guarantee the proper operation of other equipment that rely on steam. MIC-1180 is a quick-opening valve that should not remain open for long periods; it opens only in emergency situations, so it needs to be closed promptly, with PCV-13 being used in reverse.
