I would like to ask my friends: what kind of valves are generally used for filling and draining water at the bottom of a ship’s ballast tanks? This type of valve should be able to completely drain the water from the ballast tank when discharging water.
Thank you to the friend above; as far as I know, there is a type of valve called a bilge valve, which is used specifically for allowing water to enter and exit the bottom of the ballast tank. But I don’t know what its structure is?
