In addition to the one-way damping valve, does the outlet of the axial flow compressor have a butterfly valve for regulation?
There should be no control valves! According to the process requirements, it is the units themselves that are adjusted when regulation is needed; there is no mention of using control valves for this purpose. Moreover, it is not safe for the units to operate in abnormal operating areas (surge zones). Typically, the unit outlet is equipped with a check valve, an outlet electric valve, and an anti-surge valve; beyond that lies the process system
There must be no control valves! The output flow rate cannot be limited; it is regulated by the speed, which has upper and lower limits. There is also a surge zone for the flow rate – operation beyond these limits is not allowed, nor is operation within the surge zone, as this can damage the unit. During start-up and shutdown, the shock zone must be passed through quickly.
It’s okay to have it, just for use in emergency situations. That will only lead to increased investment and more static sealing points
Axial flow fans generally adjust the main airflow by adjusting the angle of the static blades; therefore, no control valve is installed at the outlet.
Installing a butterfly valve at the outlet of an axial flow fan has no practical significance; using it to control the flow rate at the fan’s outlet does not help with energy savings, even when the unit is operating far away from the surge line. Unless there is a special purpose for the process, such as having two regenerators.
