Which is more cost-effective, hydrogen production from natural gas or from methanol? We plan to build a facility for hydrogen production using natural gas with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters. What would be the investment costs, and what is the energy consumption level? Thank you
Cost of hydrogen production from natural gas: 1.30 yuan/Nm3H2; (cost of raw materials: 1.9 yuan/Nm3). Production capacity: 1200 Nm3H2/h. Hydrogen production from methanol: 2.6 yuan/Nm3H2; (oil is used as fuel), but the investment required is half that of using natural gas.
