Our factory has newly produced a batch of horizontal water-cooled reactors for ammonia synthesis; the gas (H2, N2, along with condensed liquid) flows through the shell side, at temperatures of 200–90°C and pressures of 0. 58MP ； The pipe runs cooling water at a temperature of 20–60°C and a pressure of 0. 58MP。 The baffle design in this case features baffles arranged vertically. Experts have shared their opinions – do they think the arrangement of the baffles is reasonable?
I think this arrangement is appropriate. GB151 stipulates that the clean fluid baffle should be installed vertically; although condensate is entrained, it does not represent a gas-liquid mixture, so there is no need for a left-right arrangement. However, it is important to provide drainage holes on the lower baffle and vent holes on the upper baffle.
