There are many coal-to-methanol projects in Ningxia. Are there any methanol gasoline projects as well? Those who know it, could you please explain it in detail?
As far as I know, the larger methanol projects in Ningxia that have been built so far include those with a capacity of 250,000 tons operated by Shenhua Ningmei, and one with a capacity of 300,000 tons operated by Qinghua Group; production at all of these sites is not operating normally. Under construction are projects by Ningxia Coal involving 400,000 tons (with dimethyl ether production as a by-product) and 1.67 million tons (with coal-to-olefins production as a by-product); Baofeng Energy has a project to produce methanol from coker gas in a capacity of 200,000 tons. Additionally, Baota Petrochemicals has a project to produce methanol from coal in a capacity of 600,000 tons, while China Power Investment Corporation has projects of unspecified scale, as does Jingneng Group. I’ve never heard of the methanol gasoline project.
The 3 million tons per year indirect coal-to-oil project at Shenhua Ningmei is currently in the preliminary feasibility study stage. **The National Development and Reform Commission has given approval to proceed with the preliminary work; South African Sasol’s technology is planned to be used, and the project will be jointly funded and constructed by both parties.
I know there is one in Nanjing. You can check it out at this website: http://www.jvlan.com
It seems that there have been many project applications in Ningxia recently. However, I’m not quite sure which companies are involved; I’ll wait for those who know more to provide answers. I’d like to find out as well: handshake
The synthesis distillation process is not operating properly, the output is of poor quality, and it is unstable; one can go to Yutianhua to learn from their experience – it is a high-level training ground where outdated equipment is used to hone skills.
