background: The operation of today's coking industry puts forward strict requirements for isolation valves (shut-off valves), which require tight switches and reliability that can ensure normal use for many years. In order to meet this requirement, refining companies around the world have abandoned the traditional concept of ball valves with wedge-shaped valve cores and bellows-type seals that have been troublesome due to leakage, and instead use integral seat-type ball valves in critical isolation devices from AIVG (American Industrial Valve Group). 1. Design: For 20 years, AIVG has been committed to producing leak-free metal-seat ball valves under demanding use conditions. This technology is based on an integral valve seat design, where the sealing surface is machined directly onto the valve body and then wrapped with a chromium carbide coating using AIVG’s unique RAM process. This avoids leakage issues around traditional valve inline seats and prevents the possibility of solid interference. In addition, the ball is connected to the valve seat by a maintenance-free, high-load Belleville spring. 2.
