Actually, the number of posts can be quite good. But it’s been a bit quieter lately. I’d like to announce here as well: Everyone, hurry to the foreign language activity area to participate in the March Star selection!

I also registered recently; I fell in love with this place just a few days after arriving. In just one month, I learned a lot, and I was fortunate enough to participate in several small discussions; I found it extremely beneficial. I will pay more attention to the Chemical Engineering English section from now on

Shouting slogans won’t create excitement; it’s necessary to produce high-quality content. Everyone needs to discuss things together and work towards improvement, as progress is most evident through such discussions. For example, Lai Lai’s posts are quite interesting – they not only help improve professional English skills but also enable one to learn a lot of other knowledge as well. Experience the joy of helping others by unraveling difficulties.

It has been noted that many technology discussers this year (both new and old) have disappeared, and the level of activity in discussions that was seen in the fourth quarter of last year is no longer present! Apart from being busy with work and having limited time being one reason, I think there are other reasons as well. I believe the intention behind having technical discussants is not to have someone provide standard answers for everyone, but rather to encourage them to actively participate in the discussions based on their expertise in their respective fields. By complementing each other’s knowledge from different disciplines, the discussions can be deepened, thereby facilitating the resolution of problems. Since a forum is not a classroom and the participants are not teachers who impart knowledge, people join discussions out of interest, a desire to help others, the aim of improving their own knowledge, or to seek technical assistance. Everyone is encouraged to share their opinions, but these can only serve as suggestions for the person who posted the question; ultimately, it is up to that person to make a reasonable judgment based on the specific circumstances and arrive at a conclusion. In this way, problems are solved while those who participate in the discussion also gain knowledge and improvement. Finally, I hope that the warm and harmonious atmosphere of communication in the foreign language section will be maintained forever. Feedback on others is welcome, but criticism should be avoided.

What more to say! :P, it’s not about you reminding me about things like technical confidentiality; we can discuss it more times. But through this post, I have gained some understanding of membrane filtration.

Everyone should participate actively; what matters in forums is popularity, not just posting nonsense

Of course, this also depends on everyone’s liking it and visiting it frequently. Our Chemical Engineering English section is one of the most special stops in our HaiChuan – it is irreplaceable and a great place to broaden our horizons. I took a look at the rankings; although our English section has the fewest posts, I don’t think it means she’s not active. The fact that this is a section dedicated to chemical engineering English shows that clarity, conciseness, and relevance are essential. Moreover, what really matters is not the number of posts. It’s great that people can raise questions and work together to solve them. Here, the proportion of professionals who specialize in translation is relatively low, so the atmosphere of delving deep into matters and striving for excellence is somewhat lacking. However, being perfunctory in the process of seeking knowledge is not a good habit – there is a big difference in what can be achieved depending on whether one approaches things seriously or not. I sincerely hope that there will be more people who are thorough in their approach here, more people who are willing to ask and answer questions without hesitation, more people who think diligently, a more humble and polite atmosphere, fewer harsh remarks, and fewer irrelevant posts. Actually, it doesn’t matter whether the chemical engineering English section is popular or not; forums with a large number of users often don’t have high levels of technical exchange, so there’s no need to worry too much about popularity. The Chemical Engineering English section can serve as a unique hallmark of the forum, thanks to its pleasant and friendly atmosphere for communication; I have not encountered such a harmonious and warm environment for interaction in any other sections I have visited.
