There are several mature large-scale HCL synthesis furnaces in use in China, namely (based on percent HCL): 150 tons per day, 140 tons per day, and 120 tons per day. Among these, the 140 tons per day and 120 tons per day synthesis furnaces are the most common and well-established. For such large furnaces, in addition to the manufacturing capabilities of the furnace manufacturers, it is also important to consider the quality of the process packages they provide, especially in terms of automation. If the automation system for such furnaces is not well-designed, explosions can easily occur. Last year, a 120-ton/day HCl synthesis furnace at a chlor-alkali plant in Henan exploded due to problems with the furnace and its automation system; the entire facility was destroyed. Fortunately, it was at night, so no one was injured! Otherwise, it will be necessary to have highly experienced veteran workers carry out the operation! However, Sigeri abroad and Nantong Xinbao Graphite in China have highly advanced and safe fully automated furnaces as well as process packages they offer!
Diameters of 1400 and 1600 are more mature.
The largest two-in-one synthesis furnace in China is the SSL1700 graphite furnace, manufactured by Dongtai Tonggang Graphite Equipment Co., Ltd. Its control system is provided by Zhejiang University Zhongkong. The waste heat generated is utilized in conjunction with lithium bromide refrigeration units, resulting in very successful application and significant energy savings. Nantong Planet’s graphite synthesis furnace equipment can be classified according to the specifications of the equipment and the production volume required by customers: models with a daily production capacity of around 75 tons, 95 tons, 115 tons, 135 tons, or 150 tons of HCl, among other specifications.
The Nantong Planet model, with a capacity of around 150 tons, is a decent choice for a two-in-one graphite synthesis furnace.
The production capacity of the synthesis furnace is primarily related to temperature; only by reducing the temperature can the designed output be achieved.
