In the pre-column, the light components should be non-condensable gases, ethers and other low-boiling substances, and methanol and water should be heavy components. Since there are more heavy components at the top of the tower, the height of the distillation section should be increased and the feed port should be lowered. One family's opinion may not be correct, please give me some advice.
The pre-column is a mixture of crude methanol and water. Generally, desalted water is added to the reflux tank. My personal opinion is: Not moving, reason: The purpose of the pre-tower is to extract light components and heat the feed to the main tower. For example, in the double-tower operation of our factory, the pre-tower liquid level is often reported high, so that when the main tower fluctuates, the feed can be carried out in time to ensure that adjustments are made while the extraction remains unchanged.
I don’t understand what it means. The methanol content at the top of the pre-column is high. The methanol should have been evaporated by steam, condensed and fully refluxed. The design content is originally high, except for the addition of desalted water in the return tank.
