Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology – my favorite
The architecture program at Tsinghua University is more academic in nature, while the architecture program at Tongji University emphasizes practicality and flexibility.
Tongji, South China University of Technology, Sichuan University, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Tianjin University, Xi’an Jiaotong University
South University of Technology........................ Sweat, lots of sweat, excessive sweat, tons of sweat............. :L :L :L :L :L
Among the major architecture-related specialties, universities such as Tsinghua University and Tongji University hold a prominent position in China.
From everyone’s posts, it seems that the various majors at prestigious universities are all excellent, but the majors at ordinary institutions are also good. For example, in the field of engineering, disciplines such as metallurgy, architecture, and chemical engineering have their own strengths to varying degrees in different schools
At South China University of Technology, architecture is first-class in both practical applications and theoretical aspects!
I think the top three should be as follows, with Tsinghua University not being in first place: 1. Tongji University, 2. Harbin Institute of Technology, 3. Tsinghua University. Zhejiang University, Tianjin University, Southeast University, Hohai University, and others are also viable options. Let’s analyze the reasons: 1. Tongji University: 1. Academician Li Guohao – an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in bridge structures and mechanics; he is the honorary president of Tongji University, the honorary president of the China Civil Engineering Society, and the honorary president of the China Association for Science and Engineering. Sun Jun is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a renowned expert in underground building structures and geotechnical mechanics. He serves as the chairperson of the evaluation panel for civil engineering, hydraulic engineering, and surveying disciplines under the State Council’s Academic Degrees Committee, as well as a reviewer for the China National Natural Science Foundation. Vice President of the Chinese Society for Civil Engineering. Xiang Haifan is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in bridge and structural engineering. He was a pioneer in the research on wind resistance of long-span bridges in China and a key academic leader in the field of wind engineering in that country. Over the past decade, he has taken charge of more than a dozen **climbing projects; the ‘Shanghai Nanpu Bridge Project’ won the first prize for scientific and technological progress. He is currently a member of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). Fan Lichu is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a renowned expert in bridge and structural engineering. He currently serves as head of the Chinese delegation to the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), executive director of the China Civil Engineering Society, and president of the Bridge and Structural Engineering Branch of the China Civil Engineering Society. 2. **Key Disciplines**: Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Bridge and Tunnel Engineering, Road and Railway Engineering, Transportation Planning and Management. 3. **Key Laboratories**: Key Laboratory of Disaster Prevention in Civil Engineering, Key Laboratory of Concrete Materials Research. II. Harbin Institute of Technology: 1. Academician: Wang Guangyuan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in seismic engineering, a member of the International Society for Structural Safety and Reliability, and former vice president of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Xie Lili is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in ** and seismic engineering. He is currently the honorary director of the Institute of Engineering Mechanics at the China ** Bureau, deputy chairman of the Science and Technology Committee of the China ** Bureau, vice president of the China ** Society. He serves as the chief editor of the journals Journal of Natural Disasters and ** Engineering and Engineering Vibration. He is also an executive director of the International Society for Strong **, the International Association for ** Science and Geophysics, a member of the editorial board of the journal International ** Engineering, and an executive director of the International ** Engineering Society. Shen Shizhao is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a renowned expert in spatial structures, and vice president of the China Architectural Society. He has been engaged in research and teaching in the field of structural engineering for many years. Since the 1980s, he has dedicated himself to the development of this emerging discipline related to large-span spatial structures, achieving significant results in cutting-edge areas such as \"cable-stayed structure systems and their analytical theories,\" \"nonlinear stability of reticulated shell structures,\" and \"wind-induced vibration responses of large-span flexible roofs.\" He has made important contributions to the advancement of large-span spatial structures in China. Its research achievements won the **Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress and the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the Ministry of Construction. 2. **Key Disciplines: Structural Engineering, Municipal Engineering. III. Tsinghua University 1. Academicians: Long Yuqiu, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a renowned expert in civil engineering and structural mechanics. He serves as the chairman of the Steering Committee for Engineering Mechanics courses under the Education Ministry as well as the head of the steering group for structural mechanics courses. He is also the editor-in-chief of the journal \"Engineering Mechanics\" published by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. His research areas include the finite element method, the principle of energy, and structural analysis.** There are five pioneering research achievements: the generalized coordination element, the zoned mixing element, the new type of shell element, the zoned energy principle, and the parameterizable energy principle. Participated in the formulation of the Code for Design of Thin-Shelled Structures. Chen Zhaoyuan is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a renowned expert in structural engineering. He has presided over key research projects in the field of high-strength and high-performance concrete, and is responsible for editing the design and construction codes for high-strength concrete structures. 2. **Key Discipline: Structural Engineering**
The civil engineering in the southeast is very famous! It should be Southeast University
As far as I know, there are three: Tongji University, Tianjin University, and Hunan University
In addition to the major programs offered by prestigious universities, civil engineering programs at institutions specialized in electrical engineering are also very good
I’ve read many online reviews of universities with good civil engineering programs, and they all seem great. However, since I haven’t attended any of those schools, I’m not entirely sure. I can only speak from my own university’s experience: the civil engineering programs there aren’t very good. The buildings used for civil engineering courses in our school were designed by us ourselves, and they’re not very convenient; their design is also rather conventional
Tsinghua, Tongji, Tianjin University, Southeast University, South China University of Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology, and Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology are relatively good universities, as they have strong hardware and software facilities
Jiaotong University seems really great! But I don’t think a top school is necessarily the right fit for me. It was a great choice to go in the field of civil engineering!
Tongji, South China University of Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Technology, Tianjin University, Xi’an Jiaotong University
For civil engineering, Tsinghua University is probably the best
