Differences between orifice plate flowmeters and Venturi flowmeters

Previously, orifice plate flow meters were commonly used for gas pipelines in metallurgical air separation plants; nowadays, Coriolis flow meters and ABB flow meters are mostly used for such pipelines in petrochemical air separation plants. Of course, the pipelines in petrochemical plants are larger than those in metallurgical plants, and I’m not sure what the differences between these two types of flow meters are.
Generally, for pipes with large diameters, Veritas flow meters and Anova flow meters are used!
