What is the reason for the fire on the outer wall of the synthesis tower?
Generally, the sealing surface of the outer cylinder of the synthesis tower leaks, and the gas encounters sparks, static electricity and other factors and ignites. In addition, under abnormal conditions or when driving, when the electric heater is running, the electrode rod short-circuit causes the small cover to break down, and gas leakage can also catch fire.
1. When a leak occurs at the top of the tower, the high-pressure gas leaks from the small gap, causing friction during the leakage process, causing local high temperature at the place. Coupled with the static electricity generated by the friction, the leaked flammable gas ignites. 2. When gas leaks, an electric furnace is used, and the leaked gas encounters high-temperature electrode rods and is heated and catches fire. 3. When the temperature measuring thermocouple is abnormal and is pulled out for inspection, the leaking gas will catch fire when it encounters the high temperature temperature measuring wire. 4. When the insulation between the pole and the small cover is poor and power is transmitted, it is easy for the sealing part between the pole and the small cover to be broken down, and a fire may occur at the same time. 5. Before opening the small cover, if the synthesis tower is not replaced with inert gas, there will be explosive gas on the top of the tower after loosening the small cover bolts. When the small cover is pried with an iron bar, the catalyst powder will fly out and be oxidized and catch fire.
Our factory has experienced fires in the lower part of the synthesis tower. When the outer wall of the synthesis tower catches fire, attention should be paid to checking the annular gap of the synthesis tower, the inlet and outlet flanges of the synthesis tower, and the forgings and related connections in the lower part of the tower for leaks. If there is a fire in the upper part, you should mainly check whether there are leaks in the connecting flange between each cold shock tube and the big cover, the connection between the big cover and the cylinder, the electrode connection and nearby related connections. There are generally no leaks on the synthesis tower wall itself.
Fires outside the synthesis tower are mainly caused by gas leakage and encountering open flames.
