The feedstock for MTBE plants has requirements regarding its ion content; many plants are designed with a filter and a coalescer installed at the beginning of the process. I would like to know what kind of internal components are used in these two tanks, what is the function of each of these devices, and whether it is possible to omit these two devices if the feedstock comes from a gas separation plant
