Please help, moderators: loveliness:) Everyone, is there anyone here who has good knowledge of centrifugal natural gas compressors? I have been working on selecting a centrifugal natural gas compressor for use in offshore pipeline transportation recently, and I find it to be much more complex than reciprocating natural gas compressors; moreover, there is no specialized software available for its calculation. The manufacturer’s staff said that the selection of centrifugal natural gas compressors is usually carried out by the manufacturer itself, involving numerous calculations. Eventually, the manufacturer provides a performance curve for the centrifugal compressor, which typically includes parameters such as isentropic head, speed, surge limit, actual flow rate, and efficiency – all of these parameters are shown on one graph. The problem is that the isentropic head of a centrifugal compressor and the pressures at the inlet and outlet are two completely different concepts. I would like to ask everyone if there are any theoretical or empirical formulas for calculating the relationship between inlet and outlet pressures and isentropic head This is a more specialized question; everyone is welcome to discuss it together.
