What methods do we use to extend the service life of lubricants in rotating equipment during normal operation, thereby saving energy and reducing consumption?
Water and impurities in lubricating oil are major factors contributing to its degradation. By using online deep purification methods, it is possible to extend the oil’s service life and meet the requirements for long-term economic operation of machinery.
(Extending the service life of lubricants in operating mechanical equipment under normal conditions) Does the original poster not take into account situations where the equipment is not operating properly? Generally speaking, aside from the quality of the oil and external factors, most cases are caused by improper operation of the equipment or inadequate maintenance. In my opinion, to extend the service life of lubricants in mechanical equipment, the following steps should be taken: 1. Ensure a proper supply chain to guarantee the quality of the lubricants from the source. 2. Strictly implement the three-stage filtration system for lubricating oil. 3. Strengthen the management of oil sight holes, filling holes, and cooling holes to prevent contaminants such as fly ash from entering the lubrication system. 4. In some cases, the medium of certain equipment comes into direct contact with oil before being separated; this requires improved process management to ensure the purification of the medium. 5. Improve the circulating cooling and circulating filtration of lubricating oil. 6. Strengthen the control of oil and water discharge to prevent them from entering the lubrication system. 7. Strengthen the management of the dynamic and static sealing points of equipment to reduce leaks and prevent contaminants from entering the system or contaminated oil from flowing back. 8. Carry out thorough pre-operational maintenance and subsequent upkeep of the equipment, adjust the gaps in the equipment properly, and prevent contamination of the lubricating oil caused by wear or failures of the equipment. Two additional points: 1. Regularly analyze whether the composition of the lubricating oil meets the standards; 2. Regularly replenish with fresh oil based on the usage time and consumption of the lubricant, in order to maintain the concentration of additives such as antioxidants in the oil. Ensure the quality of lubricating oil by analyzing it before use, strictly implement a three-stage filtration system for lubricating oil, pay close attention to the management of oil ports and insulation devices to prevent other contaminants from entering the lubrication system, enhance the circulation cooling and filtration of lubricating oil, as well as the management of static and dynamic sealing points on equipment, in order to reduce leaks and prevent contaminants from entering the system or contaminated oil from returning. Properly carry out preliminary maintenance and regular upkeep of the equipment, adjust the clearances between its components appropriately, and prevent lubricating oil contamination caused by equipment wear or failures.
