Our plant uses Tianjin Chuangju tower equipment; the pH value in the pre-treatment tower is controlled between 7 and 9. The acid value of the acid obtained from the pressure tower is within normal ranges, while it exceeds the standard in the atmospheric pressure tower, reaching above 0.01. What could be the reason for this?
Try lowering the pH of the methanol after treatment further.
How many trays are there in the atmospheric tower on the first floor?
Check to see if any pre-tower non-condensable gas has entered the atmospheric tower system, such as in the reflux tank and similar areas. Our plant has encountered similar problems before; after closing the vent valve of the atmospheric tower’s reflux tank, no such issues occurred again with the product quality!
It’s possible that the light components from the pre-tower have flowed into the atmospheric tower; check the pipelines
I am using three-column distillation technology. May I ask what the reflux ratio designs for the pre-column, feed column, and product column are approximately? Thank you!
Why are two stages of condensers required after the vapor from the top of the pre-distillation tower exits?
It’s likely that the vapor components from the pre-tower have entered the atmospheric pressure tower; check that
It’s likely that the vent opening of the pre-tower top condenser is too small; try increasing the vent opening slightly.
