Dear sea friends, how do the inlet vanes of the compressor function? What is the principle? I have never really understood this issue. Thank you all for sharing your insights!
Guide vanes are used to adjust the inlet flow rate by changing the installation angle of the inlet guide vanes of the impeller, thereby altering the pre-rotation of the airflow. The 4-inlet guide vanes consist of one driving vane and several driven vanes; the driving vane is controlled via a linkage, which in turn drives the driven vanes. This mechanism is used to control the direction of the airflow entering the compressor as well as the size of the flow channel, thereby regulating the air intake volume. The adjustment range is -20 to 120 degrees. In practice, we use inlet guide vanes to control the flow rate of the motor-driven air compressor, with the opening range of the vanes being from 65% to -30%. The power of the drive machine is 5000 KW.
