Dear experts, my company is a company specialized in the deep processing of oils. The residue obtained after extraction has a high density; at the same time, it contains some components that are lighter than water. In other words, during the oil-water separation process, there is oil in both the upper and lower layers, while water is found in the middle layer. Is there any device that can be used for oil-water separation? Our space is limited, so a smaller set of equipment would be ideal. If you have any recommendations, please feel free to let me know. It seems even the equipment is exempt! Since the oil and water have separated into layers, installing more valves vertically on the tank wall allows for direct pouring, which makes separation easy.
That’s not what I meant. I’m referring to the normal distribution of water under normal conditions; but sometimes we need to add oil, and in such cases emulsification occurs, so heating is required to allow the mixture to settle and separate into layers
How did the original poster solve this problem? We have similar problems, but it’s not petrochemical oil.
I haven’t encountered a similar problem. But try installing a filter with a smaller mesh size
