Recently, the circulating water temperature of our plant was forced to increase for some reason. After the increase, the pre-adjustment was not timely, which caused large fluctuations in the distillation tower. I would like to ask experts about the changes in circulating water temperature and how to predict and adjust the operation of the tower.
The increase in the temperature of the circulating water indicates that the heat transfer temperature difference decreases. When the outlet temperature of the circulating water remains unchanged, the amount of heat taken out decreases.; When the cooler area has margin, it can be adjusted in advance according to the increase in circulating water temperature, or the circulating water temperature and the tower top temperature can be used as series adjustment parameters, but the reaction is lagging behind.
Let’s discuss: The increase in circulating water temperature causes the condenser to remove less heat. Is it possible to increase the water flow rate to adjust this?
1. When the heat transfer temperature difference is reduced, the circulating water flow rate is increased to increase the heat transfer coefficient to ensure the heat exchange load, but it is not clear whether this measure has a significant effect. 2 The reflux temperature is expected to increase, and the reflux volume often needs to be increased while ensuring the original separation accuracy. 3. If the circulating water is related to the tower top pressure control, the control parameters must be re-determined.
