For the shaft displacement of the compressor used in our construction work, we use Pilesis brand products; the measurement range is from -1 to +1 mm. It should display 0 mm when the machine is stopped, but there are often small fluctuations. When the machine is running, it sometimes suddenly jumps to a very high value, causing the machine to shut down automatically. I’m not sure what causes this.
How many probes are used for interlocking of shaft displacement? If multiple units are pulsing at the same time and the compressor is normal, it is likely caused by interference. Check if there are any strong magnetic field disturbances in the vicinity: such as lighting being turned on at night or welding work being carried out on site. If it is a probe, then it is necessary to check whether there is a problem with the probe itself, and at the same time to see if there are any changes in the temperature values associated with it; if so, it indicates that there is indeed a problem with the compressor. If you ask such questions again, please provide more detailed information, such as the type of compressor, the compressing medium, the pressure ratio, and the type of interlock system, etc. Otherwise, such discussions will only be general in nature and may not help you solve actual problems. I think the reasons are as follows: 1. The shaft displacement is not stably fixed (not stably fixed); 2. Magnetic field interference (double-shielded cables should be used for the connection wires)
The shaft displacement testing device has many components: a probe, a preamplifier, a transmitter or PT2600 (Bentley uses 3300/3500). If any of these components malfunctions, the output will be incorrect. Moreover, it is important to adjust the initial potential of the probe; of course, interference can also affect the accurate readings.
