An accident occurred at a paper mill in Meishan, resulting in 2 deaths and 4 injuries. At around 11 a.m. on April 4, an accident took place at a paper mill located in Guangfo Village, Funiu Town, Dongpo District, Meishan City, Sichuan Province, injuring 6 workers, 2 of whom died on the spot. According to Shao Jinliang, director of the Work Safety Supervision Bureau in Dongpo District, Meishan City, the company involved in the accident was the Second Branch of Zhonghui Group’s Friendship Paper Industry. At that time, two workers were cleaning the papermaking pulp tank on site when they suddenly fell into the tank. The 4 people who were at the scene suffered an accident during the rescue efforts after discovering the situation. It is reported that the 4 workers were taken to Meishan People’s Hospital and the City Tumor Hospital respectively for emergency treatment.
