What maintenance tasks should be carried out on centrifugal pumps during normal operation? Answer: (1) Check according to the operating parameters whether the pump’s outlet pressure, flow rate, and current are within the rated range; operation beyond these limits is not allowed. (2) Check the motor bearings, the motor body, the pump bearings, and the inside of the pump for any abnormal noises. When such noises are detected, it is necessary to promptly identify the source of the noise; if the noise is severe, the machine should be stopped to determine the cause of it. (3) Check whether the operating temperatures of various components are within the allowable range. (4) Check the lubrication of the pump; verify whether the oil ring is able to supply oil, check for any oil leakage from the bearing housing cover, ensure that the oil level is between 1/2 and 2/3 of the tank’s capacity, and confirm that the lubricating oil meets the required quality standards. If the oil is found to be deteriorated or contain water, it should be replaced promptly. (5) Check that the cooling water and flushing oil in all areas are flowing smoothly to prevent interruptions. (6) Check for leaks in the sealing device. (7) Fill in the pump operation record. (8) Maintain the cleanliness of the pump area and the pumps.
