Is it normal to install an exhaust valve at the pump outlet?

Generally, an exhaust valve is installed at the inlet of the pump and a vent valve is installed at the outlet.
According to relevant specifications, an exhaust (or vent) valve should generally be installed in front of the pump.
Both inlets and outlets must be vented. The inlet is for venting steam when the oil is being introduced, and the outlet is for draining condensation when the oil is not being measured.
Generally, the high position is emptied and the low position is purged. I don't think it needs to be added.
It also makes sense to add a vent valve.
