Use the Google toolbar to install a chemical dictionary in your browser. Those of us who work in the chemical industry often use various online chemical databases to look up information on chemical products or their suppliers. When using these chemical databases, we have to enter the website address each time, and that address needs to be remembered, which is rather inconvenient. Here is a method that can help solve this problem easily. Google toolbars with integrated applications are now quite common; this method involves simply adding a button to the Google toolbar to achieve this. The specific steps are as follows: First, open the website http://www.chemkoo.com. Second, click the third link in the upper left corner of the website, “Install Search Box”. Case 1: If your computer already has the Google toolbar installed, the following screen will appear. Click the “Add” button, and another screen will appear. Click OK, and the toolbar will be installed successfully. Case 2: If the Google Toolbar is not installed on your computer, you will be taken to the Google Toolbar download page. Click the “Download Google Toolbar” link to download it, and then install it after downloading. After successful installation, the first screen of “Scenario 1” will appear automatically; follow the steps in “Scenario 1” to complete the installation. Third, after successful installation, the “Chemical Dictionary” button will appear on the toolbar (in Firefox, there may be no text – only an icon with the letter “K”). Fourth, we can now use this chemical dictionary. The usage instructions are as follows: 1) If nothing is entered in the Google search box on the left, clicking the “Chemical Dictionary” button will take you directly to the homepage of http://www.chemkoo.com. 2) If you enter text in the Google search box on the left (a small magnifying glass will appear at the lower right of the “K” icon in the \"Chemical Dictionary\" section), and click the \"Chemical Dictionary\" button, the relevant content will be found on the http://www.chemkoo.com website. By entering the name of the chemical product, CAS number, molecular formula, etc., you can directly search for the corresponding product. Isn’t it very convenient?
