An accident occurred in our factory, and I would like to share it with everyone to help prevent similar incidents from happening. Due to a leak at the flange of the heat tracing pipe, the issue was resolved and no leaks remain. Clean some of the materials from the surface. A few days later, spontaneous combustion occurred in that area while it was under continuous heating; it was detected and dealt with promptly. The main cause of this accident was the leakage of materials into the insulation material, which led to spontaneous combustion under high-temperature conditions. It is required that in cases where similar heat tracing is used in the future, the insulation material must be replaced and the site cleaned thoroughly. Our factory also has electric heat tracing; Steam tracing was used in the design of this pipeline; making any changes would require significant work. We will pay more attention to this aspect now.
