Check the design requirements. Generally ST3; SA2.5 grade is required for higher specifications
At level ST3, manual rust removal can be used instead.
If there are no requirements in the design, it can reach ST3
Sinopec has a standard; I’ve forgotten the standard number. It contains detailed descriptions as well as pictures. It is certain that ST3 must be achieved
Brushing off rust and applying paint is not as good as galvanizing; then why not use hot-dip galvanizing? In the short term, hot-dip galvanizing is more expensive than painting, but from a long-term maintenance perspective, hot-dip galvanizing is still a better choice.
We remove rust manually and then paint it by hand
For platform rust removal, manual rust removal is generally required; the rust removal grade is usually ST3 or 2.5, with only rare cases requiring a higher grade. In actual production, the platform basically needs to have its paint repainted once a year.
