**Environmental Protection Standards – Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment of Urban Rail Transit (HJ 453-2008). These standards were formulated in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment of the People’s Republic of China, and the Regulations on Environmental Protection Management for Construction Projects; to prevent environmental pollution, improve environmental quality, and standardize the environmental impact assessment process for urban rail transit projects. This standard specifies the principles, contents, methods, and requirements for environmental impact assessment of urban rail transit construction projects. This standard is applicable to the environmental impact assessment of urban rail transit construction projects with wheel-rail guidance systems such as subways and light rails. The environmental impact assessment of monorail, tram, automated guideway, and linear motor rail transit construction projects shall be carried out with reference to this standard. This standard does not apply to maglev rail transit systems. Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment – Atmospheric Environment (HJ 2.2-2008): These guidelines were formulated in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Law on Environmental Impact Assessment of the People’s Republic of China, the Law on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution of the People’s Republic of China, and the Regulations on Environmental Protection Management for Construction Projects; to prevent air pollution, improve environmental quality, and provide guidance for conducting environmental impact assessments related to atmospheric pollution in construction projects. This standard specifies the general principles, contents, work procedures, methods, and requirements for environmental impact assessment of the atmosphere. This standard applies to the environmental impact assessment of the atmosphere for new construction, renovation, and expansion projects of construction sites. The environmental impact assessment for the atmosphere in the context of regional and planning efforts can be used as a reference. This standard is the first revision of the \"Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment – Atmospheric Environment\" (HJ/T2.2-93). The main revisions include: the methods for classifying evaluation tasks and determining the scope of evaluation, the contents and requirements for investigating the current status of ambient air quality, the contents and requirements for collecting meteorological observation data, the methods and requirements for predicting and evaluating atmospheric environmental impacts, and the recommended models for environmental impact prediction. As of the date of implementation of this standard, the \"Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment – Atmospheric Environment\" (HJ/T 2.2-93) shall be repealed. Water quality – Determination of dioxins – Isotope dilution high-performance gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method (HJ 77.1–2008). This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People’s Republic of China, to protect the environment and safeguard human health, and to standardize the methods for determining dioxins in water quality. This standard specifies the isotope-dilution high-resolution gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method for the determination of dioxins in water quality. This standard is a revision of \"Determination of polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans – Isotope dilution high-resolution capillary gas chromatography/high-resolution mass spectrometry method\" (HJ/T 77-2001). As of the date of implementation of this standard, it replaces the liquid sample testing section of HJ/T 77-2001. This standard applies to the sampling, sample processing, as well as the qualitative and quantitative analysis of dioxin pollutants in raw water, wastewater, drinking water, and water used in industrial production. Determination of dioxins in ambient air and exhaust gases – Isotope dilution high-performance gas chromatography-high performance mass spectrometry method (HJ 77.2–2008). This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, to protect the environment and safeguard human health, and to standardize the methods for determining dioxins in ambient air and exhaust gases. This standard specifies the isotope dilution high-resolution gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method for the determination of dioxins in ambient air and exhaust gases. This standard is a revision of \"Determination of polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans – Isotope dilution high-resolution capillary gas chromatography/high-resolution mass spectrometry method\" (HJ/T 77-2001). As of the date of implementation of this standard, it replaces the gas sample measurement section in HJ/T 77-2001. This standard applies to the sampling of dioxin pollutants in ambient air, sample processing, as well as their qualitative and quantitative analysis. This standard applies to the sampling, sample processing, as well as the qualitative and quantitative analysis of dioxin pollutants in exhaust gases emitted from fixed sources. Solid Wastes – Determination of Dioxins – Isotope Dilution High-Resolution Gas Chromatography-High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry Method (HJ 77.3–2008). This standard is formulated in order to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China and the Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, to protect the environment and safeguard public health, and to standardize the methods for determining dioxins in solid wastes. This standard specifies the isotope-dilution high-resolution gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method for the determination of dioxins in solid waste. This standard is a revision of \"Determination of polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans – Isotope dilution high-resolution capillary gas chromatography/high-resolution mass spectrometry method\" (HJ/T 77-2001). As of the date of implementation of this standard, it replaces the solid waste determination section in HJ/T 77-2001. This standard applies to the sampling, sample processing, as well as the qualitative and quantitative analysis of dioxin pollutants in solid waste; it does not apply to the analysis of gaseous substances or solid waste contained in containers. Soil and Sediments – Determination of Dioxins – Isotope Dilution High-Resolution Gas Chromatography-High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry Method (HJ 77.4–2008) This standard is formulated to implement the Environmental Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, protect the environment, safeguard public health, and standardize the methods for determining dioxins in soil and sediments. This standard specifies the isotope-dilution high-resolution gas chromatography-high-resolution mass spectrometry method for the determination of dioxins in soil and sediments. This standard is a revision of \"Determination of polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans – Isotope dilution high-resolution capillary gas chromatography/high-resolution mass spectrometry method\" (HJ/T 77-2001). As of the date of implementation of this standard, it replaces the soil and sediment sample testing section in HJ/T 77-2001. This standard is applicable to the analysis of dioxins in national regional soil backgrounds, agricultural soil environments, soil environment assessments for construction projects, soil pollution incidents, as well as environmental surveys of river, lake, and marine sediments. As of the date of implementation of the above standards, the following standards shall be repealed: Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment – Atmospheric Environment (HJ/T 2.2-93); Determination of Polychlorinated dibenzodioxins and polychlorinated dibenzofurans by Isotope Dilution High-Resolution Gas Chromatography/High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry (HJ/T 77-2001).
