What are the characteristics of regenerative air preheaters, and how do they differ from conventional air preheaters?

The regenerative air preheater, also known as the rotary type, is divided into those with rotating heating surfaces and those with rotating shrouds. Its advantages include small size and low steel consumption, making it suitable for installing heating surfaces at the rear of large boilers; however, its manufacturing and installation are complex, and it has significant air leakage
