Recently, the flow rate of the desorbed gas in our unit and the flow rate of the rich gas entering the absorption tower have been fluctuating in a wave-like pattern; we’re not sure what’s causing this Nothing else has changed
The pressure control in the absorption tower is unstable, which causes fluctuations in the pressure at the compressor outlet. This, in turn, leads to fluctuations in the feed to the stripping tower, resulting in fluctuations in the stripped gas
The most likely issue is a problem with the operation of the absorption tower, resulting in large fluctuations in pressure, rich gas, and purge gas
Check whether the reflux at the middle stage of absorption also fluctuates in the same way; it’s most likely that’s the cause. Stabilize the flow rate of reflux at the middle stage of absorption. Last edited by chengkang on 2009-4-11 14:53.]
Is there a problem with the control of the reabsorption tower’s control valve, causing fluctuations in the pressure that are necessary for stable absorption?
I agree with the view from the 6th floor; could there be an issue with the control valve of the absorption tower, which is causing fluctuations in the pressure and thus affecting the stability of the absorption process? Another reason is the small amount of reaction material processed.
Is the fluctuation in the absorption tower consistent with those in the stripping tower? If the pressure remains stable during absorption, there are no fluctuations in the reverse reaction system, the pressure drop in the distillation tower is stable, and the mid-stage reflux is steady, then it’s most likely that the PID parameters for some of the automatic control processes in the absorption and stripping towers are set improperly, resulting in the system’s damping being at the critical level for oscillation, preventing it from settling on its own. Does the liquid level in the condensate oil tank also fluctuate? Changing the PID parameters should resolve this issue; I suspect that either the derivative term is too large or the proportional factor is not set correctly. I’m not sure if this is correct
