There are successful examples of incorporating petroleum coke into coal to produce water-coal slurry, and it is also used in pulverized coal boilers. A high proportion of coke can damage the burners. If dry pulverized coal gasification follows a similar approach, with a coke content of 25–50%, what are the challenges involved in the coal powder preparation process?
