Are there reciprocating compressors with variable frequency control? Our factory plans to carry out modifications to switch to variable frequency control in order to increase the gas supply volume; let’s discuss the feasibility of this together.
Variable frequency control generally does not increase the gas supply volume, but it can regulate the compressor load by varying the frequency of the compressor motor, thereby achieving energy savings.
Reciprocating compressors use variable frequency to regulate the air volume; theoretically, this allows an increase in the number of reciprocations per unit time, thereby increasing the air supply volume. However, such applications have not yet been encountered in practical engineering projects.
Due to the low speed of reciprocating machines, and the fact that frequency converters are subject to many restrictions regarding speed and cannot operate at very low levels, speed control is rarely used in reciprocating machines. If stepless air volume control is used more often on energy-saving reciprocating machines.
