Is it possible to carry out only atmospheric distillation with the residue going to the catalyst, under the condition of urgent urging?
Yes, there are many plants that operate under normal pressure with normal slag being fed into the catalytic system.
The oil from our plant is relatively light, so the atmospheric residue from our plant goes straight into the catalytic unit.
