Does anyone know how to test low-pressure steam or compressed air purging? Is it necessary to target? How to design the target board? It would be better if there are pictures. Thank you!
It is generally required that the discharged steam be checked with a white cloth to make sure it is clean, or a planed wooden board can be used to check. To purge the main steam of the turbine, a pre-planed aluminum plate can be placed at the discharge port for a "target shooting" test, and the number of pits on the board is inspected to confirm whether the purge is qualified.
You can check the exhaust port with a white cloth or a target plate coated with white lead oil. If there is no rust, dust, moisture, other dirt and pitting on the exhaust port within 5 minutes, the purging is qualified!
Is there anything more operable? Thanks to the two guys above for your answers, but these are all from the book. For example, put a white cloth on a wooden board and shoot with your hands (a joke)? I hope everyone can share their actual experiences!
Low-pressure steam pipelines can be inspected by placing a polished wooden board at the steam exhaust port. If there is no rust or dirt on the board, and the steam condensate is clear and transparent, it is considered qualified. Just use a clamp to make a simple holder.
For small diameter pipes, white cloth will suffice, and for target practice, white oil-painted wooden boards will suffice.
If it is steam blowing, almost no one dares to go to the air outlet and hold a wooden board to measure it because the temperature is very high. Just make a visual inspection and increase the pressure appropriately to blow it clean!
