The standard number for the \"Code for Construction and Acceptance of Insulation Works for Industrial Equipment and Piping\" as found on the forum is GBJ126-89, and the printed version I could locate is also GBJ126-89. It’s from twenty years ago. I would like to ask the experts: has this standard not been updated or revised at all over these 20 years? Is the current standard still based on the GBJ126-89 version? As required by the Ministry of Construction, the revision work is to be carried out by a revision team led by the Chemical Engineering Branch of the China Engineering Standards Association, with the National Chemical Engineering Construction Standardization Management Center serving as the organizing body. At present, the draft for approval of the \"Code for Construction of Insulation Works for Industrial Equipment and Piping\" (standard number: GB50126-200X) has been prepared and submitted to the relevant departments of the Ministry of Construction for approval. The specification consists of 9 chapters and 5 appendices, including general provisions, terms, materials, construction preparation and requirements, insulation installation, moisture barrier installation, protective layer installation, safety techniques, and project handover. In October 2007, the draft of the \"Code for Acceptance of Construction Quality of Insulation Works for Industrial Equipment and Piping\" (standard number: GB50185-200X) was completed. It is planned to finalize the draft for public comments by the end of 2007, seek opinions from relevant industries across the country in the first half of 2008, and expect to complete the version ready for submission for approval by 2008.
