During testing, the process medium in the system can become quite dirty; how can mechanical seals be protected more effectively in such situations?
Open the accessible drain to allow drainage, preventing impurities from entering the sealing surface and causing damage to the seal.
Here are a few small suggestions: 1. It is absolutely essential to ensure the quality and pressure of the cooling water for the machine seal; this is very important. 2. Another measure is to strengthen inspections; if severe leakage from the mechanical seal is detected, repairs should be carried out immediately.
During the trial run, a temporary filter must be installed at the pump inlet, and it should be removed once regular feeding begins. If the conditions permit, a packing seal can be used temporarily as well.
Our experience shows that it is useful to connect a filter in parallel to the inlet pipeline; before each maintenance cycle or startup, the fluid flows through the filter pipeline first, and only after everything is functioning properly is it switched to the regular pipeline. This approach is beneficial for many devices, but it should be considered based on specific circumstances.

There is a prerequisite: once the selected sealing fluid leaks into the medium pumped by the pump, it must not react with the medium and affect its quality or anything of the sort!
When installing, be sure to apply butter to the friction surfaces to prevent dust from causing scratches on the surfaces. When installing the rotating ring, ensure an appropriate preload; it should not be pressed too tightly against the stationary ring – generally, a compression of 2–3 millimeters is sufficient.
