For 100,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, what is the gas flow rate per hour?
There seem to be too few conditions; at least the approximate composition after vaporization should be provided.
I know there is a rough estimate that the volume of conversion gas per ton of ammonia is 4300 Nm3
The volume of gas required can be estimated at 4300 Nm3. The number of working days can be estimated at 310 days. Thus, the gas volume is: 100000/(310*24) *4300 = 58000 Nm3
It can’t be that high, right? In actual production, about 4,100 cubic meters of shift gas are consumed per ton of ammonia; otherwise, there would be no profit to be made. The gas volume change per hour is around 55,000 cubic meters.
1. Estimated based on the compressor’s displacement. That is, determine how many compressors are in operation, check the air delivery capacity indicated on the nameplates of each compressor, and then use the ideal gas law to calculate the air volume under the corresponding operating conditions. Of course, there will be a discrepancy between the actual gas volume and the calculated gas volume. 2. The amount of purified gas consumed per ton of ammonia can be used to calculate the amount of shift gas. (The former reduces components such as CO2 and H2S). 3. The theoretical volume of transformed gas in the quota calculation for synthetic ammonia production.
It’s not easy to calculate; it’s a material balance issue, so let’s work backwards
