The decompose command doesn’t work in the file, but it works fine in the newly created file. What’s going on?
It only shows that there was a problem with your original image. The object you want to decompose is not a whole.
If you are unable to explode blocks while using CAD, try first whether you can explode other entities (such as multi-line text, hatching patterns, etc.). If that is possible, it means the entity you have selected cannot be exploded itself (you can also add a . before the command to test whether the block can be exploded)； If that’s not possible, it might be due to an infection with a virus program named acad.lsp, which is written in the AutoLISP language. Its main characteristic is that opening any drawing fails to explode the blocks; in other words, the explode command does not work, which causes a lot of trouble in our work. When this virus is executed, it creates the acad.lsp virus file in all directories where CAD drawings have been opened, and it creates the acadapp.lsp virus file in the Support directory of the CAD installation. Here are the methods to remove this virus: (1) Open the system’s “Find File or Folder” dialog box ； (2) Enter acad.lsp;acadapp.lsp in the “File or Folder Name” data field ； (3) Enter: explode in the “Contains Text” data frame ； (4) In the “Search” data box, select: All hard drives ； (5) After deleting both of the files found, the problem is resolved. Note: Be sure to search through all directories on the hard drive in order to completely remove the virus. ★Additional note: The name of that virus file might also be Support \\ acadiso.lsp
Create your own block in the same file, and then blow it up. If it can be blown open, it indicates a problem with the object in your file. If it doesn’t work, it’s a CAD issue. If explode doesn’t work, use xplode; that’s what I always do
