Recently, based on the full demonstration of experts, Henan Province decided to build the province's first coal chemical base in Yima City. According to expert demonstrations, the newly constructed coal chemical base is centered on the coal chemical industrial park and follows the path of "coal-gas-methanol-fine chemicals" to improve comprehensive processing capabilities and achieve in-depth processing and value-added of coal resources. The development plan of the entire base includes 13 coal chemical projects, which are carried out in accordance with the principles of unified planning, step-by-step implementation, fluid development, and sustainable development. At present, the development and preliminary work of projects such as 60,000 tons of methanol expansion, 100,000 tons of formaldehyde, 20,000 tons of polyformaldehyde, 150,000 tons of acetic acid, 100,000 tons of acetic anhydride, and crude phenol refining are underway, with a total investment of nearly 2 billion yuan. * * It has invested 1.5 billion yuan to build a gasification plant with a daily production capacity of 120 × 104 m3 in Yima. In addition to co-producing 80,000 tons of methanol, it can also produce 350 tons of crude phenol, 7,000 tons of light oil, 2,600 tons of pure tar, and 2,700 tons of liquid ammonia annually. There is also a large amount of available surplus oxygen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen and other by-products. According to exploration, the geological carbon reserves of coal in the mining areas under the jurisdiction of Yima Coal Industry Group reach more than 2 billion tons, the mining reserves are about 1.1 billion tons, and the annual production capacity of all mines is 10.25 million tons. The long-flame coal produced is an excellent coal for power and chemical raw materials. In addition, Yima and its surrounding areas are also rich in mineral resources, such as bauxite, quartz stone, limestone, pyrite, iron ore, barite, dolomite, etc. Relevant experts believe that the combination of these resources with the coal chemical industry has broad room for development.

Yima's coal resources are so rich, it would be a pity not to use them. It just needs to be planned well. SES's technology is said to be available in Shanghai Coking and Shandong Zaozhuang. It is a mess and cannot be run for a long time.
Shanghai Coking built 8 furnaces, all of which have been demolished. Three of them were dismantled without being put into operation at all. I heard that the device in Zaozhuang, Shandong is not running now. I don’t know why.
It was learned on December 27, 2018 that the Yima Gasification Plant of Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group has continuously refreshed various data on the operation of the Lucci gasifier unit by strictly controlling important indicators such as the quality of the coal entering the furnace, the residual carbon in the ash, and the composition of the gas produced. It has achieved continuous operation of the No. 2 furnace of the gasification unit for 185 days, the No. 3 furnace for 180 days, and the No. 5 furnace for 180 days.
