Does anyone know the melting points of methanol-water mixtures at different concentrations? Could it be presented in a table, or are there any calculation formulas?
What is the melting point of a methanol aqueous solution? Does the poster mean boiling point?
I’m not sure whether this type of calculation can be done using Aspen, but there is a very simple method: prepare some methanol-water solutions of different concentrations and test their melting points. This is the most direct and reliable approach. The results can also be shared here, which helps to contribute to the expansion of the database on fundamental chemical engineering knowledge.
