Generating electricity using the waste heat from cement kilns has become a mainstream approach for energy conservation and emission reduction in the cement industry, At the same time it also brings good investment returns to enterprises. Especially in the context of the current economic crisis, the cement industry has also been directly affected, with reducing energy consumption and cutting costs becoming top priorities for companies. However, at present, waste heat power generation technology is still in the developmental stage; when applying it, companies often fail to truly integrate the cement production process with waste heat power generation, resulting in increased coal and electricity consumption as well as a decline in clinker production. Therefore, addressing various issues that arise during the operation of waste heat power generation, and thoroughly exploring the relationship between operational efficiency and power output, have become focal points for enterprises. At the same time, advancements in pure cryogenic waste heat power generation technology have also enabled domestic companies specializing in related design and equipment to achieve significant growth; they have managed to enter international markets while also expanding their operations into other sectors such as steel, glass, and ceramics. This requires a broader platform to explore all aspects of cryogenic waste heat power generation technology. Since 2005, China Cement Network has successfully held four summits on low-temperature waste heat power generation in the cement industry, bringing together relevant design firms and equipment manufacturers within the sector to conduct comprehensive discussions on this technology, thereby significantly promoting its use in the cement industry. In response to the latest hot topics in this field, China Cement Network will hold the 5th International Summit on Cogeneration at Ultra-Low Temperatures in 2009, aiming to promote the efficient operation of cogeneration systems and advance the internationalization of China’s technical equipment.
