Is it more important to save energy and reduce consumption, or to introduce new processes? Which is more important?
For a company, saving energy and reducing consumption can help cut costs, and all companies are willing to do this. As for new processes, companies must conduct cost calculations; if the revenue generated by the new process exceeds the costs, the company will consider adopting it. The level of importance depends on the value of the new process.

Also, isn’t steam consumption high these days? Why not simply design a new, complete steam system with a condensate recovery process? For small businesses, the investment is low – probably around two million at most – and the costs can generally be recouped within the same year or within two years. However, this seems to count as a new manufacturing process as well. . It’s just that this new process is new in terms of steam usage; it has nothing to do with the existing production processes in the chemical plant.
Of course it’s a new process that yields benefits right away; the returns on energy-saving investments are not immediate! Moreover, no obvious changes are usually visible.

Once again, start with small things and pay attention to the details; there is much that can be achieved by saving energy and reducing consumption.
The effects of new processes are unpredictable, and the investment required can be high; therefore, new technologies should not be adopted merely for energy conservation and environmental protection – costs must also be taken into account.
