Selection of sections in layout drawings

What is the importance of selecting the location of the plane (elevation) in the equipment layout drawing? ? Because even on the same floor, if you select sections with different heights, the equipment projection will be different.
Whichever one can be used to express the problem clearly, some are needed for both study and elevation.
We generally prefer the highest initial projection, which can explain the most problems. Secondly, if it is covered, use another plane for projection. Generally, there are no more than 2 projection planes on the same floor.
I agree with what the second floor said, as long as the equipment layout can be explained clearly. Personal opinion!
Personally, I think there is no fixed format. Explain the layout of the equipment as clearly as possible. If there are areas covered, make a cross-section again.
It’s nothing special, just the cross-section matches the main picture so that others can understand it.； If you don’t understand anything, just cut it.
