It’s a vertical water-tube and fire-tube boiler with a single boiler drum. After the preliminary design was completed, my supervisor asked me to find ways to introduce innovation – both in terms of appearance and structure – so that it would differ from ordinary boilers. This really posed a challenge for me; boilers are special types of equipment, and I didn’t want to use technologies that aren’t yet fully developed. I really can’t think of any solutions, so I hope experts out there can offer some advice.
The internal structure isn’t easy to modify, so you might consider focusing on outsourcing.
For boiler accessories, it is possible to choose equipment with a good appearance and comprehensive functions.
Innovate in energy conservation and materials: 1. For example, use high-efficiency internal threaded pipes. Choose heat exchange tubes, fins, and finned tubes with high heat exchange efficiency. 2、There are also innovations in the burners, with high-efficiency burners being used. 3. The layout of water and fire pipes can also be innovated. 4. There can also be innovation in the operation format and design. However, it is a mature technology for boilers, so it’s a bit difficult to innovate with it.
I agree with what was said above; by working on the accessories of the boiler and improving those parts that weren’t very reasonable in the original design, that can also be considered an innovative approach
There are quite a few changes to be made to industrial boilers! You can find articles on various aspects such as the size of the heated surface, the amount of material required, smoke and air resistance, hydrodynamics, and structural mechanics. The furnace walls and insulation are also areas where innovation is easy to achieve! Another aspect is the configuration of auxiliary equipment, namely the piping, instrumentation, and valves! There’s plenty room for improvement! As long as you’re willing to spend the time!
We plan to use an oil furnace structure at the front smokebox, add decorative panels, and attach nameplates to them to cover the smokebox door.
