I work in the project department of an engineering company, where I am responsible for controlling the progress of projects. I wasn’t very familiar with project management before, and now I want to know what tasks are involved in managing project progress – things like creating schedules, drawing Gantt charts, holding progress meetings, etc. Are there any other tasks as well, such as preparing progress balance sheets? From what I’ve experienced with progress control (during the construction phase), it basically involves preparing a progress report on a weekly or monthly basis, collecting data on the actual amount of work completed from the construction party, and handling the approval processes for payment related to the construction progress; As for creating a Gantt chart or something for the early stages of construction, tools like P3 or PROJECT can be used for that ;
