Our property management company would like the heating company to supply heat to the residents of this community for a few more days; perhaps 5 or 6 hours each day, in the morning and evening. The area of the community is 14,700 square meters. The heating company uses a steam boiler with a capacity of 20 T/H, and heat is converted to hydraulic form through a heat exchange station. Since they are only providing heat for our community, they charge based on the cost of production, which amounts to about 15,000 yuan per day. Is this amount reasonable? How can we calculate it in a way that satisfies both parties? Please help us; we really don’t understand!
It’s too expensive. Based on the heating area of your community, if heating is provided for 6 hours a day, 2 tons of coal would be sufficient to meet the needs. At a cost of 1000 yuan per ton, the daily expense amounts to 2000 yuan; adding other expenses, 3000 yuan should be enough.
Your community only uses 2 t/h of steam, yet you ask the heating company to operate a steam boiler with a capacity of 20 t/h – this is highly unreasonable from an economic point of view. Even though heating is provided for 5 or 6 hours per day, the heating company still can’t operate such a boiler; it would be better if each household used air conditioning instead.
