The company is planning to launch a gas-powered generation project and intends to install two gas tanks. I would like to ask for advice on how to choose the appropriate models for these tanks, as well as the installation procedures and approximate timeline involved. Project background: Generation of electricity using blast furnace and converter gas; two gas tanks are required, one with a capacity of 150,000 cubic meters and the other at 200,000 cubic meters
Gas cabinets are divided into dry and wet types; currently, dry gas cabinets are more commonly used for those with large capacities. Gas tanks require specialized design, and the installation methods for different types of gas tanks vary; they can be installed either in an upright or inverted position. Relevant standards are available, such as HGT20517-1992 for steel low-pressure wet gas tanks, and HGJ212-83 for construction and acceptance specifications of metal-welded wet gas tanks.
I work on gas tank projects, but I arrived too late
I have a project that generates 2,000 cubic meters of gas per hour; under normal conditions, all of this gas can be used for boiler combustion. So, what size gas tank do I need?
Is it to calculate the volume of gas based on my shutdown cycle, and then convert it to the capacity of the gas holder?
Consulting an expert: I have a project in which the boiler design must meet the following two fuel conditions: Condition 1: 50,000 Nm3/h of reformer gas per unit, and 68,000 Nm3/h of raw gas per unit. Condition 2: 98,500 Nm3/h of raw gas used alone per boiler unit. Condition 1 is the design condition, while Condition 2 is used for verification purposes. Condition 1 ensures the design parameters, while Condition 2 ensures the boiler’s evaporation capacity. There are 4 boilers in total – so what size gas tank should I use?
