May I ask what is the shelf life of welding materials used for containers, and where are the regulations specified?
There shouldn’t be an expiration date, right? When storing welding materials, we always make sure to maintain the proper humidity in the storage area (to prevent the materials from getting damp or rusty), and there are no requirements regarding the storage date for these materials.
Regarding the storage of welding materials, refer to their packaging, which contains specific requirements and instructions.

If vacuum packaging is used, there is no expiration date, and it does not require drying – it can be used right away. Welding rods are vacuum-packed in iron cans, while welding wires are vacuum-packed in aluminum foil.

New JBT3223-2017: The valid period is the usage period recommended in the quality certificate or instruction manual for welding materials; in the absence of such recommendations, electrodes, flux-cored wires, fluxes, etc., generally should not exceed 5 years. There are other explanations.
