The visual quality of the equipment is very important; both the base material and the welded joints are equally significant. Surface defects are particularly hazardous as they can lead to stress concentration. Over time, this can result in fatigue cracks, which poses serious problems. Surface quality essentially refers to the presence of defects on the surface. 1. Flange sealing surfaces. 2. Welding defects, including excess material, which must be removed through grinding. 3. Defects on the cylinder surface; care must be taken to avoid dents during rolling. 4. Grinding of edges and corners such as those on the support legs. 5. The visual quality control of pressure vessels should primarily focus on controlling the misalignment of the cylinder walls, the excess height of welds, and the unevenness of the cylinder surface.
