I have a question regarding the \"freezing\" issue of the C stations in the HONEYWELL PKS R310 system: The system was working properly at first; currently, only two CONSOLE stations have been installed, and both C stations are unoperable. The symptoms are that it’s not possible to switch between screens, and the panels do not appear. After restarting one of the C stations, both stations became functional again. I don’t know how many STATIONS your system has. If there are a large number of STATIONS, such as more than 8, and all of them access the controller through the CONSOLE in these past two days, then it’s possible that the high load is causing the C stations to appear to be frozen. Also, ask the HONEYWELL engineer whether all patches have been applied. If these two issues are not the ones that get resolved in the future, I would really appreciate it if someone could post a reply to explain why, so that we can all improve together.

Since this is a renovation project, a power plant project, only one of the four reactors has been renovated so far; the other three are still in operation. The reactor that has been renovated has now been brought back online, while the others are still under renovation. Currently, what I do is add 1G of memory to each control station (taken from those that didn’t have it installed; originally, each control station had only 1G of memory). ), it has been under observation for a day and a half, and no \"crash\" has occurred yet. Too many data refreshes or scripts set within the same flowchart screen can cause excessive load on the station; adding more memory modules might help to alleviate this issue. You can use HMI tools to check the load on the flowchart display, which will help improve the flowchart.
Adding 1GB of RAM has had some effect; it used to crash once a day, but now it crashes every 2–3 days. However, the underlying problem has not been identified yet. Someone from HONEYWELL told me that they would send me an upgraded drive (of around 100 MB or more); I’m waiting for it, hoping it will help solve some of the problems! :L

Our factory is under renovation; the existing TPS systems are being demolished and replaced with PKS systems. The setup and wiring are currently in progress. We have not encountered the issue you mentioned. 1. There are many reasons for a machine to freeze. There is software as well as hardware; first rule out hardware-related issues, then improve the software. Regarding the patch mentioned upstairs, you can consult Honeywell Company for it; they will provide it. You can also conduct some experiments; for example, reduce the operational permissions for one machine, limit the number of flowcharts and scripts on another machine, and so on. In short, one should make more guesses and conduct more experiments. Oh, by the way, could it be a defect in the machine itself? The network ports 4 and 5 on the server we use for experiments stop working after 4 or 5 days; they work fine when communicating with that specific server, but not with other machines. Switching to another port resolves the issue. Testing is currently in progress, and the test report will be sent to Dell afterward. The machine’s partition configuration also needs to be reasonable, and attention should be paid to the virtual memory settings as well; after all, there are over 120 items that need to be started. 2.
